Born 1975, Auckland

Timothy Kidd began reading Tintin from before he started school. As a teenager he read Marvel comics and began drawing his own superhero stories. THen at age seventeen he started reading Love and ROckets and gave up on superheroes altogether.

In 1994 he began publishing his series Half a World Away, set in a small New Zealand town. The last issue, #7, was published in 1996. In 1997 he began a new series, Illumina.

Since early 1998 he has also written and drawn various stories for SeeSaw, an anthology shared with Adam Jamieson and Sophie McMillan.

Kidd married fellow cartoonist Sophie McMillan in March 1998.
